Demongate is one of the Special Events in Knighthood. It was introduced on August 20, 2021.
Players enter the Sacred Portal and battle 
Demon-type Yokai of the Lost World and Vampyr 
Undead enemies to earn Event Points, which grant rewards at certain amounts. Side Stories and Roaming Monsters specific to Demongate provide additional Event Points and other rewards.
The Demongate Heroes are Ayako and Mikazuki.
Special Monsters
The Yokai standard monsters, Oni and Tengu, both have the Transcend Power. Upon activating this power, they become Great Oni and Great Tengu, gaining gold coloring and becoming much tougher, along with gaining a stack of Regenerate every time they are hit with a Weapon or Punch attack. After this, they will charge Revert, which returns them to their original state.
- This Regenerate effect only lasts one turn; however, it can stack its power for every hit it takes, so one turn of Regenerate can restore a combined amount of health or armor in a single tick.
- Defeating Transcended monsters grants significantly more Event Points (see the table below).
- Great Oni and Tengu have a different health pool than their base counterparts. Upon reverting back to their base forms, they will regain whatever Health/Armor values they had before transforming.
List of Special Monsters
- Otakemaru: Roaming Monster spawning every four hours in the furthest two regions the player has unlocked so far. Attacks with Blazing Fist. Gains Regenerate when hit with a Punch or Weapon attack.
- If a player hasn't unlocked the conquest node where Otakemaru spawns in a region yet, they will only get spawns in the previous region.
- Aobozu: Portal Boss, priest turned one-eyed Demon. Attacks with Blazing Bolt, which damages himself as well.
- Oni: Demon swordsmen who make up most of the Yokai forces. Uses Transcend to power up to Great Oni.
- Tengu: Flying demons who attack from the back row. Uses Transcend to power up to Great Tengu.
- Rokurokubi: Three-headed Demon Guild Boss that may be summoned by all guilds. Event Points are offered upon defeat, along with usual guild boss rewards.
- The Lost Knight: Roaming Monster unlocked after completing the event tree and "The End! Or is it?" quest. Spawning daily at 17:00 local time for 10 hours, he inflicts Expose when hit by the player.
Portal Battle Mode
When the Portal is open (every weekend, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning UTC), players will be able to choose from up to five portal levels, in relation to their current Knight level. Higher portal levels add a percentage of Event Points along with base amounts.

- Level 15: +20% extra points
- Level 25: +50% extra points
- Level 35: +100% extra points
- Level 45: +200% extra points
- Level 55: +300% extra points
Event Points in this mode are earned based on the amount and type of enemies defeated, regardless of winning or losing.

Players are given three free attempts per day until the event ends. Once all attempts are used, three additional attempts may be purchased for 120 Gems. Purchasing the Event Pass gives another three free daily attempts for a total of 6 per day.
Event Side Stories
Every Friday, a new set of Side Quests related to Demongate will be available for the player to complete. Demongate's Side Stories expire at the end of the event if incomplete.
Weekly Side Stories
On the first weekend, the player will need to complete some earlier stories before the rest of Week 1 Side Stories appear. After this, each subsequent weekend only requires that the previous week's stories have been completed.

Reward Track
Event Points contribute to unlocking rewards a player may get. Limited Edition items are no longer available after the event ends. A second rewards tree is unlocked for those who purchase the Premium Pass. Rewards include Skins, Gold, Chests, Shards of Ayako and Mikazuki, Shard Dust, Strong vs Demon, Undead and Magical Equipment, and various Customization items.

Trivia
- Yokai (妖怪) is the Japanese term for a class of supernatural entities in Japanese folklore. They can range anywhere from ghosts and spirits to animal-like creatures and humanoid monsters.
- The faces of the Yokai in Knighthood resemble the artistic interpretations of specific types of yokai, typically stylized on kabuki theater masks and ceremonial outfits.
- Early designs for Demongate, including Mikazuki's design, were in development since the beginning of Knighthood's launch; however, the developers deemed a Japanese theme to be too unfitting for the game's first Special Event, and instead went with the more traditional-looking Dark Tor Event.
