Chests are reward containers in Knighthood. They can contain a variety of items, equipment and resources that will benefit the player and their Heroes.
Overview
There are different types of chests, which contain different types of rewards. There is a lower chance to receive a higher-rarity item. Some types of chests require you to open 5 or 10 at once to guarantee at least one Epic level reward, or other special loot.
Earned Chests are sent to the Vault, where the player can view and open them in any order.
Chest Types
Free Chest
- Contains Rare Hero Shards and Equipment, Shards of Gunn, and Unique Customization items
- Can be obtained by watching an advertisement in the Vault
- Odds: 97.5% Rare, 2% Legendary, 0.5% Unique
Gold Chest
- Contains Battle Boosts and other Resources, as well as Rare-rarity Equipment and Hero Shards
- Can be purchased for 1000 Gold or obtained for free every 3 hours in the Store
- Odds: 95% Rare, 5% Epic
Customization Chest
- Contains Customization items such as Capes and Hairstyles.
- Can be obtained by completing all 3 tasks from a Roaming Monster, or purchased for 50 Gems in the Store
- Odds: 72% Rare, 18% Epic, 9% Legendary, 1% Unique
- Opening 10 at once guarantees at least oneEpic rarity item
Redux Style Chest
- Contains Customization items such as Capes and Hairstyles, with Epic-Unique items being from past Special Events
- Odds: 71.5% Rare, 18% Epic, 9% Legendary, 1.5% Unique
- Obtained from Guild Wars War Track and by purchasing from deals in the Store
Gem Chest
- Contains Rare-Legendary Equipment and Hero Shards
- Can be purchased for 100 Gems or earned for free every three days in the Store
- Odds: 72% Rare, 24% Epic, 4% Legendary
Equipment Chest
- Contains Rare-Unique Weapons and Armor
- Can be purchased through various Merchants, obtained as a reward from the Shrine of Heroes or Special Events, or purchased for 80 Gems in the Store
- Odds: 71.5% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 4% Legendary, 0.6% Unique
- Opening 10 at once guarantees at least 1 Epic-rarity item
Deluxe Equipment Chest
- Contains Rare-Unique Weapons and Armor
- Obtained from Guild Wars, Expert Hunt Masters, and limited time Store offers.
- Odds: 66.9% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 8% Legendary, 1.2% Unique
- Opening 10 at once guarantees at least 1 Epic-rarity item
Hero Chest
- Contains Rare-Unique Hero Shards
- Can be purchased through various Merchants, obtained as a reward from Special Events, or purchased for 150 Gems in the Store
- Odds: 71.5% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 4% Legendary, 0.6% Unique
- Opening 5 at once guarantees shards for at least 1 Epic-rarity Hero
Deluxe Hero Chest
- Contains Rare-Unique Hero Shards
- Can be purchased through various Merchants, obtained as a reward from Special Events, or purchased for 150 Gems in the Store
- Odds: 66.9% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 8% Legendary, 1.2% Unique
- Opening 5 at once guarantees shards for at least 1 Epic-rarity Hero
Redux Hero Chest
- Contains Rare-Unique Heroes, with Legendary and Unique Heroes being from Special Events
- Increased chance to gain Special Event Heroes
- Can be acquired from Guild Wars War Track, or purchased from the Store for $5 USD
- Odds: 66.9% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 8% Legendary, 1.2% Unique
Roaming Monster Chest
- Contains varying rarities of Weapons and Armor, dependent on each specific Monster.
- Obtained by defeating a Roaming Monster
Heroic Chest
- Contains Hero Shards of a set Rarity dependent on the Rarity of the chest
- Obtained by spending 100 Shard Dust at the Hero Shop
Hero's Challenge Chest
- Contains 1000 Challenge Points and a chance Hero Shards of Rare - Legendary Heroes OR shards of the designated Unique Hero
- Obtained by completing the Reward Track during a Hero's Challenge event, or by purchasing from the Store for 150 Gems
- Opening 5 at once guarantees 5 shards for the designated Unique Hero
Alignment Chests
- Contains Hero Shards of one hero from a specific Alignment
- Can be purchased from deals in the Store and in Hansel's Monster Shop
Onslaught Chest
- Comes in Wooden, Gilded, Steel, and Masterwork varieties
- Contains Drops, Tomes, and Cores of varying rarities

- Obtained as a reward for defeating an Onslaught Commander
Weekly Chest
- Contains Epic-Unique Hero Shards, Weapons, and Armor.
- Obtained by completing all Weekly Tasks
- Odds: 90.9% Epic, 8% Legendary, 1.1% Unique
Event Chest
- Contains 1000 Event Points, and 50 Shards for Rare-Epic Heroes or Legendary and Unique Event Heroes
- Points and Event Heroes change based on the Special Event taking place
- Can be obtained from the Special Event's Reward Track, or purchased from the Store for 150 Gems
- Odds: 71.5% Rare, 23.9% Epic, 4% Legendary, 0.6% Unique
- Opening 5 at once guarantees 5 shards of the Unique Event Hero, plus an extra 1000 Event Points
