Question Answer
How do I capture minions? Minions spawn randomly, so they don't always appear. If they do, they will appear with a cage icon, and you will need the correct gauntlet. For more info, see capturing minions.
How do I get past the Trolls on Highridge Bridge? Generally, make sure that you have heroes who hit the back row hard to take out the Trollkin Flintcasters. Best case go into round 3 with Rage fully charged, use potions for one more Rage attack, both Rage powers need to do damage to the back row. Once the archers are down, take on the front row.
I'm stuck at/around Level 20. Forging materials are harder to gain than leveling materials. At around Level 20 is where you hit the first wall to grind through to get your equipment up to rank 3.
Should I upgrade my Rare gear? Upgrade the equipment you have now; upgrade higher rarity items when you start getting that.
Should I keep 1 strong vs for each monster type on rarity X (rare, epic etc)? Yes, keep one of each until you start unlocking higher rarities. Different regions will showcase different types of monsters.
What is a chain start attack? A chain start attack is when your Knight runs out to attack with their weapon or gauntlet. This is usually your first attack in a turn, but you can perform multiple chain starts in a single turn by breaking the chain: simply waiting until the "chain broken" text appears, or using a hero power or battle boost.
What is the best gauntlet to use? All gauntlets have their own set of boosts, so the 'best' gauntlet is rather subjective based on your playing style.
Where can I find torches? In daily quests, roaming monsters, chests and favours.
Where can I find gems? In daily quests, roaming monsters, chests and favours; you have a mine that also generates them once unlocked (in Mirefen).
Where can I find meat? In daily quests, roaming monsters, chests and favours; you have a mine on Guild Island as well, dispensing one meat per day.
Where can I find X that I need to upgrade my equipment? In daily quests, roaming monsters, chests and favours. Some merchants have them, like arena and cave merchants.
Why do gauntlets have only three fingers and a thumb? The Gauntlet isn't actually a glove - you'd never fit your fingers in its 'fingers' unless you have a massive hand, and, as you see from the tutorial, your knight has regular sized hands!

The Gauntlet is effectively an exo-skeleton/mech type bit of gear. It has an inner 'glove' that the fits the knight's hand, which controls the outer shell through a combination of mechanical genius and dwarves enchantments. Why does the outer shell have only three fingers and a thumb? You'll have to ask Brokkr and Sindri - perhaps they just thought it looked cooler, or maybe it was a cost/labour reducing exercise. Probably, Brokkr was drunk during that design, so this explains while the gauntlet has a finger less...
