Heroes
Heroes in Knighthood are spirits of past warriors in their prime who serve as companions to the Knight, who summons them into battle with a Gauntlet. There are currently 4 Common, 18 Rare, 14 Epic, 18 Legendary and 17 Unique Heroes, for a total of 71.
Two Heroes at a time are chosen to go into battle, and the player can utilize their Base and Rage powers to aid in damaging enemies or buffing/healing the Knight.
Heroes can be Ranked Up using Hero Shards to increase their Star Rating. Max-star Heroes may also gain special buffs to Minions or other effects.
Heroes are unlocked during The Tomb of Heroes conquest in Astellan, in which Ash and Helmar are the first ones available to the player.

- A Crit chance/dmg Max Star effect applies only to that Hero's Powers, unless otherwise specified.
- "Strong Vs" means the specified Hero will deal +50% bonus damage to the matching target
- This bonus damage is not affected by Protect.

Base Power Charge Speed
Gauntlets have a perk that increases the charging speed of Base Powers for a certain Hero class. This is represented in-game as a percentage, but it affects Heroes differently depending on how fast their starting charge speed is. This is represented in the table below:

Rage Damage Types
Heroes whose Rage Powers damage enemies do so in 3 types: Deals, Distribute, and Random
- Rage Powers that Deal damage hit all enemies for the same damage range listed in the Power description
- Rage Powers that Distribute damage splits the damage from the listed range up between every enemy in the round. This means that the more enemies there are, the less damage each will take, and vice-versa.
- Rage Powers that are Random will distribute a total amount of damage from the listed range by damaging random enemies for a set amount of hits.
Leveling
Heroes are leveled up by gaining Hero XP, obtained from Scrolls as well as completing Favors, Conquests, Hunts, and Roaming Monsters with the Hero equipped. They also have a Star Level system which increases their power by collecting Hero Shards.

Rank Up
Once a Hero has been leveled up to Level 20, they must be Ranked Up to increase their level further. Ranking increases a Hero's level cap (max level). Drops, Tomes and Gold are required to rank up a Hero up to Rank 6. At Rank 7, it costs Mythic Essence to progress further.
Drops

Drops currently come in four types related to which rank the Hero is being upgraded:
- Humility - Ranks 2 and 3
- Diligence - Ranks 4 and 5
- Generosity - Ranks 6 and 7
- Patience - Ranks 8 and 9
- Serenity - Ranks 10 and 11
Tomes

Ranking up a Hero requires a certain amount of Tomes that match the Hero's Alignment. This amount increases based on Rank and Rarity.

Hero Promotion
In addition to Leveling, Heroes in Knighthood have a Promotion system which allows them to gain additional buffs.
Star Level
Each Hero has a Star Level that boosts their powers by 10% increments per star. The amount of total stars a Hero has depends on their rarity: Common Heroes have 3 stars, Rare Heroes have 4, Epic Heroes have 5, Legendary Heroes have 6 and Unique Heroes have 7.
Max Star Bonus
The final Star Level gives a Hero an additional benefit that varies for each Hero. This can range from adding an additional Status Effect to a Power, to perks such as increasing the damage of Critical Hits vs certain Monster types.
Hero Shards
Stars are gained by collecting Hero Shards. These are gained through Hunts and opening Hero and Heroic Chests.
The amount of Shards needed to gain a new Star Level depends on the current Star Level and the Hero's Rarity:
