"So, you want to become a Rage Knight, eh? Do you really think you're up to it?"
― Sir Drakeson

Sir Edward Drakeson (also referred to as simply Drakeson) is the first Rage Knight the player encounters, and serves as the Knight Trial for Astellan. He utilizes Tristan and Isstara in combat.

Story

Drakeson is a member of The Order of Rage, a formerly world-spread Order of Knights who used their battle prowess and the power of their Gauntlets to keep the peace in the land of Knighthood.

When Lord Karnon began corrupting other Rage Knights and bringing the lands under his control using a mysterious new power, Drakeson originally resisted, attempting to fight back against Karnon and save his colleagues. However, he eventually fled to Astellan, the "last outpost of normality," waiting on a promising new warrior to take his place as the hero.

The player Knight encounters Drakeson as part of their first conquest, and learns the basics of Combat from him. Afterwards, Drakeson explains the situation of the world, and hopes to train the Knight up to stop Karnon. At the end of the Astellan main Conquests, Drakeson challenges the Knight to their first Knight Trial. Upon defeat, Drakeson fully admits the Knight into the Order of Rage, and accompanies them into Highgard to begin the fight against the forces of evil.

SPOILERS AHEAD

As they travel through the lands and save the other Rage Knights from the corruption, Drakeson tells the player Knight more about the different regions, the history of the Knights, and where they are now. Drakeson begins to realize the failings of the Old Knighthood, and sees a new Order beginning with the player Knight.

After being defeated by Karnon at the peak of Mount Nexus in the Realm of Fire, Drakeson uses his Gauntlet to destabilize Karnon's portal, spoiling Karnon's plan to bring the Dark Ones into the rest of the land. In doing so, Drakeson vanishes from view. His current fate and whereabouts are unknown.
