Dark Onslaught is a challenge dungeon located in the Skadas Depths in Karnheim. It is a higher-difficulty version of the Onslaught Dungeon, featuring previous Onslaught Commanders as well as several new bosses. To unlock it, the player must have completed the Trendel Henge Side Conquest.

Only Legendary and Unique Heroes may be used in the Dark Onslaught.

Only one Onslaught run may be active per day. That is, if the player has completed any floor of the Onslaught Dungeon, they cannot participate in the Dark Onslaught until the Dungeons reset the next day.

Difficulty Scaling

The enemies and rewards in the Dark Onslaught scale with the Knight level of the player.

Specifically, the Monsters on the first floor will always be 4 levels below the Knight level, and then increase by 2 levels per floor. This means that Monsters on the 5th and final floor will always be 4 levels above the Knight level.

Exhaustion

Like the Onslaught Dungeon, the Dark Onslaught will Exhaust the Heroes used in that floor, preventing them from being used in the subsequent floors. In addition, the Dark Onslaught also Exhausts Gauntlets, encouraging the upgrading of multiple Gauntlets before attempting to defeat all floors.

Floors

The Dark Onslaught consists of 5 floors, which will cycle through random Commanders every day. The player will still be able to see the order of the Bosses on every floor before engaging, allowing them to plan out their Hero and Gauntlet usage accordingly.

Rewards

Per Floor

Each floor of the Dark Onslaught provides a random reward from a set list. The amount and/or quality of the reward scales based on the Kight's current level.

Completion

Completing the Dark Onslaught awards a Jackpot, 12 shards of a random Hero from the pool of all non-Event Legendary and Unique Heroes.
