Cog is an NPC character in Knighthood. He is a small Automaton that the player rescues from Sindawera Outpost. After being rescued, he accompanies the Player Knight through Karnheim, giving exposition.

History

Cog was created by a genius inventor to be an assistant. This same inventor ended up being somehow manipulated or captured by the The Karnonnites into creating the enemy Automatons as well as Karnage. After this, he was killed.

Cog has lapses in his memory, denoted by a --bzzt-- in his dialogue when he attempts to speak about certain topics. It's unknown whether this is a normal defect, damage from attacks, or an influence of the Dark Ones, who are one of the subjects Cog is incapable of speaking of.
